Monmouth swimming has a rich and storied history from its success in the 1960s, 70s and early 80s to the restart of the program in 2015. This history includes an Olympic Gold Medalist, 11 individual NCAA national champions, numerous All-Americans and many other outstanding accolades.
One constant througout the history of the program is the Richard E. Steadman Natatorium. It has served as the home of the Hawks since 1965. To honor the elite performances by some of the many outstanding swimmers who represented the University, Monmouth athletics is currently raising funds to install a school record board in Steadman Natatorium. The board will serve as a tribute to the best athletes in program history both past and present while also providing our current student athletes with benchmarks of excellence they can strive for in each event. Each standard event will be listed and the Monmouth University program record will be displayed on a state-of the-art board.
