We're on a mission to make a difference!
Through the Global Experience Program, Monmouth Students engage in 8-10 day service programs that allow participants to become change agents as they serve people in underrepresented communities in developing countries. Through this immersive program, our students take intentional action to engage in civically responsible projects that benefit international communities, while creating a lifetime of transformation as students Serve, Learn, Change, and Share.
Monmouth Students work through nonprofit organizations that embed in their respective communities. Each community and organization has a fundamental vision of improving standards of living and education. For our students, participation in the program has a profound impact on their perspective, appreciation of others and life, social-responsibility, cross-cultural competency, love, learning, compassion, and empathy.
How will your gift make an impact?
When you contribute to our project, you help current and future programs by allowing us to create financial access for Monmouth students who lack necessary funds, implement larger-scale projects for volunteers to engage in, and offer more opportunities to help a wider scope of at-risk communities worldwide.
What do participants say about the program?
“No one can do everything, but everyone can do something. One of the biggest life lessons I learned is that you don’t have to do it all, you don’t need to save a country, you don’t need to build a house by yourself, but each brick you lay and each person you talk to and smile at makes a difference. That really came to life on this trip.” – Becca Baier ’12
