About Blue Hawk Records:
Blue Hawk Records (BHR) is the student-run record label of Monmouth University. Since our establishment in 2013, our mission has been to give students opportunities for hands-on experience to kick start their careers in the music industry and to provide a richer culture for the Monmouth community. Every semester we host numerous networking events with professionals in the music industry, on and off campus concerts, field trips to offices such as SiriusXM, Warner, The Grammy Museum, and more. We also give students the opportunity to get their original music out in the world by producing a compilation album each semester. We pride ourselves on the events and music that we have been able to produce. We accomplish everything from making a record and branding artists, to executing marketing strategies and coordinating live event showcases. Thanks to our partnerships with Lakehouse Recording Studio in Asbury Park, The Music Business Association, and The Grammy Museum, we are able to offer our students multiple career opportunities and industry connections, setting them up for future success in their chosen field.
